I'm looking to buy a cheap dvd player costing around 30 quid...and preferably a compact model, any help will be much appreciated.

hi! depending what you mean by compact, you can always check argos and see if there are any in stock in the argos stores around you ( http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5338588/Trail/searchtext%3EDVD+PLAYER.htm - seemed like a good deal! )

I bought this one from Asda about a year ago. Haven't had any problems with it at all.
