Any ideas on how to combine overpaying whilst also improving the house? ie our bathroom really needs doing up!

    Hi mrso2b,

How desperate is your bathroom? I can't argue with any of the advice about shopping around as it really is sensible. If it really isn't absolutely desperate to do it imediately you could try setting up a separate savings pot especially for the bathroom. A bit like piggybanking really or the saving you probably did toward your wedding. Afraid that's my only advice.

Good luck with your MFW journey.

    All the best,
    Spigs
