I found myself in the local Social Services office the other day and on display was a leaflet about what they could offer people with impaired hearing. I wouldn't hold your breath for any direct help unless the loss is very sudden and very severe or otherwise causing major problems, BUT the leaflet had lots of local contact details for organisations who might be able to advise. So for that reason it could be worth contacting local Social Services and asking what they are aware of or can offer.Signature removed for peace of mind0
