Can anyone recommend a good tool to remove the above. Ad-aware, spybot and ccleaner are not finding it.
Thanks

Have a look here. http://info.prevx.com/pxparall.asp?PXC=56745025772
Should have what you need
Be careful wth this - a little research indcates that this may be connected with your winsock - this could affect your connection to the net.0 -
Heartily agree with this.Reluctant_spender wrote:Be careful wth this - a little research indcates that this may be connected with your winsock - this could affect your connection to the net.
This file also has possible "keylogging" implications too.
It's vital you get this off your system AND anything esle that came with it.
To remove 90% of any more hidden problems carry out all the steps in the first 4 posts to this thread ...

When completed you should scan your system with HijackThis and post the resulting logfile report to this thread (not to the "malware removal" thread mentioned above).
Someone will check the log and see if there's anything else you must do to protect yourself.

Its my mum's pc and she is scared of them - this managed to get passed Norton, Windows Firewall, Ad-aware, CCcleaner and spybot.Fat and proud lol0 -
Scared of "them" ... what exactly?djtonyb wrote:Its my mum's pc and she is scared of them
Malware often does. That's why the "good guys" have devised other ways of fixing stuff like this.djtonyb wrote:this managed to get passed Norton, Windows Firewall, Ad-aware, CCcleaner and spybot.
Don't worry about any of the things in that thread I referred you to. They are all good programs, easy to use that will help "spring clean" a computer even if, most of the time, users don't know the bad stuff is there because it hides so deeply.
I promise you ... the steps in that thread are a worthwhile exercise but do leave yourself plenty of time to help your mum through it all. The scans etc. are very thorough and very effective (and free!).

The computer - she in addicted to MSN/Yahoo and regularily receives 'files' from her boys abroad
Don't get me started on her boys cos I'll never be able to stop ranting (one who 'works for Microsoft' has a back door to her pc to fix things   :eek:Fat and proud lol0 -
I agree with pchelpman, your mother may as well give her 'boy' all her passwords, bank account numbers and any other private personal files to this unknown.
I really think you need to speak to your mother regarding the safety of allowing someone she doesn't know full access to her pc.
