                    Hi,
Just a quick note to say that I have (yesterday) had judgement issued against Littlewoods for penalty charges incurred. They acknowledged the claim then didnt submit a defence. I won by default.
Thought you might like to know it is possible!

So the title really isnt at all fitting as they werent beaten in court but you won by default... sounds like the normal case of it costing them more to defend it than to simply pay it.All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

            Why is it well done?
It isnt belittling you, it is simply saying you have your money back so I am sure you are happy but your the title of your thread makes it sound like a david -v- goliath type victory when in reality it is more a case of goliath just couldnt be bothered.
There are a fair number of people that routinely put small claims court claims in against large blue chip companies for £500 or so to which they have no basis of claim what so ever simply because they know that the cost of the company using a solicitors/ barrister to defend the claim will outweigh the cost of simply paying it and under small claims court rules you cannot claim costs for solicitors/ barristers so it is a lose lose situation for them. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

Oh well every little counts. Again sorry for using the wrong terminology. Just surprised that seeing as this site advocates taking on the biggies for even the littlest reward, that getting money out of one of the biggies as so many people are was treated with such 'oh well theres another one' attitude Discussion over! There is probably a lot of whinging as people are now realising the result of their action.... they have got their £100 back from bank charges but now found that their interest rate has doubledAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
