Previous Mortgage Application - Financially linked to

I just signed up for a Equifax credit report, to have a look at some details from my credit history. All seems well, never missed a payment for anything, but I just clicked on "Financial Associates" and its saying that I am linked to my girlfriend due to a previous mortgage application that we where approved for but did not actually take.

I don't really understand why I am being linked financially to her now given that we did not actually take the mortgage with them or even pay for anything.

What are the implications of this? Can I remove this financial link seeing as we did not actually take out credit together? My current mortgage is in my name, which I pay for in full and am the sole occupant of the property.
