Phillipino recipe

A Phillipino girl I nursed with a few years ago made me a bowl of, I think she called it Macaroni chicken salad, or chicken macaroni salad. It was the most delish food I have ever tasted and contained Condensed milk, mayo, boiled chicken, cheese, carrots etc etc. Yes I know its a heart attack on a plate, but if it's only wheeled out for very special occasions, it cant be too bad for you. I think they used it for celebrations and the like. Also, not very MSE!! Would anyone know of this recipe? Any Phillipino ladies/ men on here who knows the authentic recipe? TIA. XX:)

It's called Pinoy Chicken macaroni salad and it doesn't normally have the condensed milk in but I managed to find a couple that do:

I think it's sugar palm fruit, I've seen it in the Chinese supermarket but I've never tried it myself.puppypants wrote: »Thank you so much for your speedy reply. The second recipe sounds exactly the one, XXXX:j

i tried this recipe recently and it turned out quite well with a couple of alterations. Your recipe reminded me of this dish, and thought it could be an alternative to the sweetened condensed if you didn't want it too sweet.0 -
