Gonna probably get my head ripped off for this but hey ho just my opinion
I'm not surprised Debenhams have stopped this offer especially if they have read this forum ..... some people have really abused this offer i'm all for getting a bargain or two or pushing it to three but some people take it too far and somehow it begins to feel like were ripping companys off Debenhams did put a restriction on it by saying one per customer only most people have taken advantage of the good nature of the offer especially as it had no minimum spend involved.
I would love to actually know what Martins view of this would be as he hates the thought of companys ripping off us the general public and will go out of his way to try and get things changed and made better for us yet us his fans his MSEers are ripping companys off left right and centre....
And before you ask I am one of the lucky ones who got a voucher and my husband also got one too so i'm not bitter :-)0 -
Why bother getting into the politics of it all. As with any situation in life theres people who dont know where to tow the line.. that'll continue to happen regardless of anyone stating the obvious.
Although in saying that from this thread ive mostly gathered that its people who thought 'yippee a chance to get lovely things for others for xmas' where in some cases they mightn't of been able to.
With the amount of footfall debenhams have got from this voucher i very much believe they will have done well with the hundreds if not thousands of people who will have spent money topping vouchers up for bigger spends and buying things whilst they were in there anyway.
Either way it is what it is, those who got, got as many times as they chose to and it will hopefully run its course until the 12th to give everybody a chance to get a treat.I LOVE MSE! :money:0 -
All I know is without these vouchers I would not have spent £45 on shoes in Debenhams. I would've bought them somewhere else.
And I went throughout the entire store seeing all the things they sell and I now know that they have a biggest range of petite clothes in my high street, so I will probably go back and buy.0 -

I totally agree. It's a shame that so many people on this forum (and elsewhere, of course) have abused the offer. I can honestly say I used my voucher once - I never thought about printing off loads like many others did. The sad thing being, many will not realise how selfish they have been - stopping many people from being able to get one voucher and use it once. Pathetic really.Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.
Need to save up, lose weight, reduce my money worries and get back to being the real me! :j0 -

hmmm.... "mightn't have been able to" ??
All sounds very noble.
think it's probably more of a case of people taking maximum advantage of the situation!

I cant speak for everyone but i used two vouchers and i know that i wouldnt have been able to afford a 6 quid buzz light year pen for a stocking filler nor lindt chocs in a lovely tin for nearly a tenner.. it wouldve been something from poundland.
Correct me if im wrong, isnt Grabbit littered with glitches and discounts for people to take maximum advantage?
Anyhoo i can see this snowballing into a huge holier than thou subject i understand where people are coming from and i still think that as with anything there will be fools who are greedy and took for the sake of taking it or worse for profit, but this will always happen in any situation where people are left to decipher when enoughs enoughI LOVE MSE! :money:0 -
Apogolies if i'm one of the "greedy" ones but having glitches/offers like this means that I won't have to sit there at xmas feeling really bad cos i couldn't afford to buy family/friends presents as i've just been made redundant and even before that I could barely afford to live whereas thanks to my visit to Debenhams today i've managed to get two people two very nice presents for a total spend of £7!A home is not a home ..... without a dog0

Well I'd rather be selfish and pathetic because we're basically doing Debenhams a good deed by LETTING them give free £5 gifts to the less fortunate0
