Hi all, i've established from you helpful people that i need to take an average of my wages from when i started my job in March to put on the SOA as my wages change each moth slightly due to overtime. What happens when i get bonuses and extra overtime each month once i'm BR? do i have to inform them each month of my wage and expect to pay them the difference between what i put on my SOA and the wage for that month? thanks!

the wage you should put on the SOA would be your basic wage, without overtime or bonus.
Overtime is not guaranteed, neither are bonuses.
Once BR, then the OR [or their agents] will need to have sight of your wage slips, to calculate income [and whether you have a surplus basic income].
If a surplus of sufficient amount is evident, then an IPA will be agreed...this can vary in amount, according to each wage slip.
Also, you may receive an NT tax code [income tax is included in BR].....in which case, you will pay an [NT] IPA which amounts to what you would have paid in income tax....this will require sending in each wage slip to allow recalculation of payments, each month. No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Blimey this sounds a bit complicated
i'm more confused now! i have no idea what my basic monthly wage should be, i'll have to speak to HR i guess to work it out exactly....
Thanks for your help0 -
Actually you were right the first time hunt 85, you should put down an average of what you receive including all bonusus and overtime. It will then be up to you to save in the good months to pay in the bad months, that is the simplest and easiest way to do it and leaves you in controlHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Hi
What we do is - my wage stays the same very month. so I always pay the same amount on my IPA. My husbands is done on his basic wage and any overtime is the extra amount. I email the OR after pay day with extra amount and she emails the excess to be paid into his account. Dont have a problem with it as long as you are up front and honest and do it straight away, gets it done and then what cut they want they get and we get our extra aswell.
Best thing we did going BR in April/May.
Good luck0 -

DI..this is exactly what my situation was......since overtime is optional.
My basic wage never varied....unless I went out on strike to support other CS's....
I suspect if one is paid ..'by the hour' then one never can tell what one's 'basic' rate of pay is...as one never really knows how many hours one will work..?
I always understood, a job had to have a contractual number of hours to work? No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0
