  • Hi, thanks for all the advice.

We applied for the Cahoot flexible loan but we were turned down.
My partners sent of for a credit report to see why. Could it be that he has recently began a new job and also that we live in a rented flat (for 2 yrs 6 mths) that has a history of tenants with outstanding debts?
It didnt say that you needed to be a home owner though?

When the page was displayed saying that they couldnt grant him a loan with the credit info they had, they pointed us towards a another company website but we lost the page and cant remember the link? Does anyone know what that was all about?
  • I wonder if there's any way you could maybe try to claim back those £50 fees they keep slapping on your account. I take it you didnt have payment protection for such a situation. It seems very unfair especially if you've kept them informed all the way through. Is there a family member you could maybe sweettalk into paying one of the monthly payments just until you get paid for your new job? Just to try keep them at bay for a little longer. I'd suggest as soon as you've paid them off CLOSE THEM, they dont deserve a penny more from you. All your previous full payments and payments on time seem to go out of the window as soon as you miss one. Shocking.
Have you tried re-negociating with the credit card companies?
