Information Commisioners Office

I am compiling all my breach of data protection issues to ICO. Do they send me the recomendations or do they go back to the CSA with them. I have quite a few of them that has caused me some grief over the last 15 years or so to which i didn't know that this information was recorded against me but the CSA disclosed this to the PWC and yet still gets held against me. I didnt know about this until Dec last year when i got my dp files.

ICO will investigate your claims and look at evidence, they then liase with CSA, come up with a conclusion and make recomendations, both yourself and CSA will be copied/informed of their findings and any action to be taken/recomendations as result of investigation

I think that you will find that it is something like ICE they have to do as they are told, and you will possible get a £25 consolatory payment if you are Lucky.

I now have the information to answer this.

I complained to the ICO as the CSA sent me information on someone else's case [they don't make mistakes]!

They have 2 findings open to them, either likely or unlikely that the organization has complied with the DPA. In my case it was likely that they had failed to comply with the DPA!

They have decided to do nothing at this stage, but they will keep it on record and add it to any other complaints. Should there be enough then they will consider taking regulatory action.

So folks get the letters in and fast as many as possible. A veritable snow storm would be good.

PS You wont even get the £25.
