Sound/Music systems

Does anyone know of any companies that supply and install sound and/or music systems? Basically, I am fed up with wires trailling all over the place and as I am having a new floor put down, this is an ideal opportunity to bury the wires out of sight.
I would also love to transfer my collection of cds (about 700) on to a computer system rather having them taking up space and use the computer to play music rather than a hi-fi. Again, I would appreciate details of companies that provide the necessary hardware for this.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Crues...there are professional installation companies out there...but for what you're asking, they'll stick the arm in. I reckon most quotes would come in around the £2K mark.
If this is just for one room, you might want to consider a DIY job. That way you get to choose where your speakers etc go (there are loads of resource sites online for best placement of bins and satellites) and save yourself enough for a sunshine break in the meantime.
As for the hardware to copy your cd's. Any pc will do it, but you need to look at how you want to store/play this. If you're a bit of an audiophile, you'll likely want a lossless method of ripping, and therefore quite a lot of storage. Your 700 CD's in a lossless format could equate to ~35 Gb of storage (average 500Mb per disc). You'll then also want a high end sound card to process it. It's unlikely you'll get an off the shelf system with a high enough spec, so it may be advisable to get your own card (lots of 7.1 cards around now).
If you want to have a look, try here to get an idea of prices.0 -

I think Phillips do a DIY version starting at about £600 (i think?) for the basic version0

Just a few points:
1) I have both a high end hi-fi (as in the old school concept) and a seperate 6.1 DTS surround sound system - both costing loadsofmoney. Wires? Let me talk to you about them - our my wife certainly will.
2) It's dead easy to put the CD's on a PC, but do you mean as complete 700MB discs, or as compacted mp3s?
3) I have miles and miles of wires - expensive wires - that I can't hide.
4) Odd though it may sound, a reasonable surround-sound system for TV, be it 5.1 or 6.1, gives a great hi-fi sound. It's different, but it's great. Plus, you can get away with a single sub-woofer, and tiny surround speakers. Really. I now use Kef surround, and my cyrus black boxes, of which there are many, stay off. As do my Castles.0
