Accepted for Credit Card Today

Hi I went BR in Nov 2008 and dischaged in Nov 2009, I applied for a Vanquish card and have been accepted not that I will use it, I havn't checked my credit report to see if all my creditors are showing as settled or what ever term they use, I didn't see the need to but does that mean that I now have an average credit score rather than poor

Hey if I were you I would look at your credit score - I was scared to at first but when I did I seen how good things were for me and I was able to amend some things that weren't right, and now the excitement of when its all going to be good for me is approaching am so determined things are going to be so different now!! It can't be any worse than when you were bankrupt can it?! GL
  • How did you ''amend some things that weren't right'??
What happened or what excuse did you use to correct it?
    Thanks

sometimes dates or information can be recorded incorrectly by creditors on your credit file, there is a clean up sticky at the top of the br board for more information

to make a difference you need to spend a little on the card then pay the balance off IN FULL every month

your credit rating? that will improve with time....everything you do now will help a little till the bankruptcy falls off your credit files in 6yrs time

I would reccomend the clean up sticky though...stop any problems down the line..

Well financial associates were incorrect as this was from a past application that was never taken fruther and didn't want any association so I got this removed...and I had an applied for an account with a catalogue and got refused I was then able to call them to find out why it was showing active etc and then get it closed so it wasn't showing as 'stale' accounts.. I didn't use excuses I just said my finances are all seperate from that person please remove and they verify this and remove.. :)
  • could you give me link for this sticky clean up thing.
