Bridging Loan or Similar Option

Hi
I am currently living in France with fully paid house (worth about 250,000).
I want to move back to UK (either temporarily or permanent) and am in process of selling this property. I want to buy a house in UK (cheap - only about 100,000). However, ideally I want a house already bought at the same time as selling this.
When I find a buyer for here my plan is to return to UK while buying process is ongoing and look for a house there.
However, if the UK house buy completes before the French sale (I would not start the process of buying in UK until French house sale underway), then I would be in position of no job (yet) in UK and therefore, I guess, no way of obtaining a mortgage to cover the gap.
Is it possible to get a briging load without having a job? If I could prove that the french sale was underway and that the sale would achieve far more than the property I want to buy in UK.
Please, does anyone know?
