Sensory toys for autism

Hi all
My DGD is gettiing less and less interested in the usual 'toys' for a 2-3 year old so am looking for some sensory bits for her for Christmas.
I have looked at a few online shops already but would prefer recommendations from people who have already bought from them.
Thanks xx

My friend has one of those 'parachute' things that they use alot at playgroups. There was one on Grabbit recently which I tried to find, but I am rubbish at searching.
Also you probably know this but alot of autistic children are particularly fond of Thomas the Tank engine. There are small die casts for not much money at the Home Bargains near me. I know it's not sensory but might be a good stocking filler.

Hi,
I was told about the 'LDA learning' site by my child's TA, which has some good items even if just for ideas. Sorry didn't know if could post links or not but have found that site helpful myself, so if could help in anyway thought best to mention it just in case.0 -
My son (has aspergers) is 12 so doesn't really play with toys but does love sensory items, he has lava lamps, anything that glows, twinkles, well anything magpie-ish really haha.
I have heard that tangle toys are good for autistic children, I saw some on ebay when I searched autism a while back.
Maybe look on NAS website and see what they suggest then find cheaper alternatives elsewhere.0
