Paying CCJ on specified date

The acknowledgement of service gives you an extra 14 days, making 28 in total from the date of service of the claim.
I see, I keep reading conflicting information, quite confusing! SOme saying extra 28 days, some 14, thanks.
After that, the creditor can request that the court makes judgement.
Not sure where they got the 8th?
No idea, probably just plucked it from thin air, they were trying to make me make payments to them now, without sending back the court forms, which would mean that the claim amount would be wrong if I made any payments to them
That makes no sense at all? Date of service is normally the date of issue of the claim + 2 working days. That would make it 20th October. So your original 14 days would be up on 3rd of November.
Oh I see, again, read 5 days somewhere
I thought it would be sooner the other day, which is why I said you might want to send off the acknowledgement.
If you do nothing then they cannot request judgement before the 3rd Nov. In practical terms a while after that. So you should be OK whether you leave it or not, providing that you can pay any judgement in full by the end of next month.
I suppose you could do the acknowledgement if you want to make sure you have enough time. Just in case of something unforeseen
Yeah I think I will send of the acknowledgement and see what happens, either way I am paying it in full 30th November, so if they even register a CCJ, I can clear it within the month :T
Feel better now, have been worrying about it![STRIKE]£9,336[/STRIKE] Current Debt: £8,635
On the way to recovery now :T0 -
Just thought I would update this.
I haven't received anything back from the courts, even though the company says that I needed to pay by 8th November, do you think this was a scare tactic? As I haven't paid anything towards this claim, yet nothing has come through the post from the court stating I have CCJ, and also nothing on my credit files either![STRIKE]£9,336[/STRIKE] Current Debt: £8,635
On the way to recovery now :T0
