I did it!! :)

Whew, after 7 years - although only about the last 4 with full throttle - i now do not have to pay any more mortgage and it feels fab! :j I have an offset mortgage and now savings = mortgage debt and it will just keep ticking over itself getting smaller and smaller til it hits zero. And it is all thanks to this forum - I thought that once you had a mortgage that was it for the term, then decided to pay it off a bit quicker so I wouldn't pay as much interest, then was inspired by this forum with the tips and tricks that I have paid off a 25 year mortgage (albeit quite a small one!) in 7 years. And now I can do things on the house that I've been putting off - and my own little castle is my own  To everyone who is on their own mortgage free journey, keep pushing on - the feeling of being free of mortgage payments is well worth the effort!
