recycling old mobile phone locally (SW London)?

Hello

I have a mobile phone that I'd like to recycle and would appreciate some ideas on the best home for it. Here are the factors to take into account:

1. The phone is at least 6 years old and no longer working so can't be recycled for cash. Most of the recycling companies highlighted by Martin in his article therefore aren't interested in it.
2. The phone and its charger are quite bulky and don't fit into the small postal recycling envelopes I've seen so far (e.g. Tesco).
3. Ideally I'd like to be able to take it myself to an organisation or shop/outlet that collects dud phones for recycling. A charity would be ideal.

Any ideas??

Not sure if you realise that you don't actually need to post the charger as well (certainly for the Tesco phone recycling.)

If the phone fits into the envelope that might be the best option, as they give you back 50 points and make a donation (£2?) to Whizz Kids charity.

The Body shop collect them and they are reconditioned and given to women who are suffering/escaping domestic violence, so they can call the cops with just one button. A VERY worthy cause.
