Electric shaving for men help

I have stubborn stubble. Usually i wet shave using a Fusion power razer and decent gel. But past few months found i been getting some cuts and got fed with this.

Today decided to buy a Braun wet and dry shaver to see if that would help. Shop assistant recommended braun wet and dry over Philips dry system.

When i shaved today (wet face first) i found it very difficult for the shaver to remove stubble under my chin compared to razop shaving. Afterwards i suffered more shaving burns than i am used - is this normal?

would welcome any tips etc

Using a pre~shave oil should help. Also, make sure you shave with the hair growth, not against it. Then you can go in a sideways direction and this should be able to get the stubborn hairs out. Then if you really need to go over it again, you can go~very carefully~against the hair growth. Do please use plenty of pre~shave and an after shave emulsion is also very helpful to soothe the skin.

    Thanks for the tip.
I presume when you mean "with" hair growth you mean use the shaver downwards?

Lady in Boots where i bought the Braun shaver said i can use the electric shaver with shaving gel, as its wet and dry type. I was told there is a 30 day money back return to manufacturer offer if not happy in the box...but cant find anything in the box. Anyone else heard of this?

Will give this shaver another few days try out, otherwise i will see if it can be returned under the "loved it or your money back sticker". Typical of advertisers saw a Braun Series 3 advert on TV (also on Braun website) which shows a lad with thick stubble using his Braun in 1 sweep with no hairs left behind! That is totally untrue from my experience:eek:

Hi again, yes, when i say "with" i mean go in the direction of the hair growth, rather than against it, going against it is what's giving you the majority of shave burn. Remember to use pre~shave oil, this will soften the hair and open up the pores, making it easier to get the hair out. It will also moisturize the skin and hopefully make it a more comfortable shave.
