Boots points query

I bought an item from Boots today worth £69.99.

I was given 80 points for this sale and 1000 as per the bonus offer (spend more than £50)...is this correct? as i am sure boots used to offer more points per a pound (its been a while since i shopped there). if someone who is familiar with the points system can clarify if this is correct?

Your 80 points were for the amount over £50 (ie £19.99) and you did get 4 points to the pound for these.

The 1000 points was made up of your 200 normal points for spending £50 and 800 bonus points. You may have been expecting more as the offer on xmas shopping evening etc is 1000 bonus points for a £50 spend which are in addition to your normal 200 points, not including them as this offer is. HTH.

They will be doing the 1200 points per £50 spend (this will be 200 points for spending £50 and then an additional 1000 points) but only on certain specified 'Christmas Event' evenings. Otherwise its 1000 points for spending £50 and this is inclusive of the 200 points the £50 would normaly have gotten you.
