Childcare vouchers and the 0 tax code

Hi,
Has anyone gone BR while received childcare vouchers through their work? I only just found out that your tax code goes to zero after br and childcare vouchers are a tax efficient saving, basically you pay £170 from your salary and get back £243 childcare voucher cause you don't pay tax on the £170 amount. does anyone know if you can still claim these vouchers after br?
thanks (again!)

I think that you will have to contact the governing body that deal with these childcare vouchers.

If you waited to go BR in say end Feb/March time, then there is no time for a zero tax code to be implemented in that tax year (these codes can only be issued within the tax year of your BR, so tax year 2011/12 will be as normal). Therefore it "shouldn't" be a problem of any kind.
  • Don't worry, me and my hubbie, both BR, both claim childcare vouchers through work, no problems with it at all x
  • oh great thanks for you replies, another thing off my mind x x x
