how much can we increase our mortgage by for £400 per month

thats it basically, how much could we increase our mortgage by if we have an extra £400 to put towards it?

i know it will vary hugely depending on what rate we go for, ideally over 20 yrs as well, but can anyone give me a rough idea?

    @4% over 20yrs, £65000 would give you a payment of £398
    @6% over 20yrs, £55000 would give a payment of £399

    £400pm repayment 20 years rate ??

    Stick it in a calculator put in the knows and guess the unknowns till you get the right answer

    eg 5% £400pm interest only set the amount borrowed and adjust till it is paid off in the calculate screen

    But what happens when the interest rates rise ?

    How much is your existing mortgage, could you afford your existing debt when rates go up ?

    NOV 2021 O/S AMOUNT £1,694.41 OUR DEBT REDUCED BY £104,759.59 by std regular, over-payments & off-setting.
    BofE +0.19% Tracker Repayment Offset Mortgage Discounted Sept 07-10 then increased to BofE +0.62% until 2027
