Hey Lilac - I'm in Dunfermline, Fife. That sounds way too cheap as well lol. The 6k was to completely rip out and redo. The materials and tiles were way more than £1400 and that was two quotes.0 -

Well our bathroom is quite small, we did a rip out and replace fully tiled walls new parador ceiling and ceramic floor tiles, towel ladder radiator keyhole bath, shower screen and electric shower for under a smidge over 3k all in including the labour. £1400 was labour only but that was plumber, tiler and sparky took 6 days

http://www.nextbathrooms.co.uk/bathroom-suites/shower-bath-suites/iris-keyhole-shower-bath-suite is the suite we went for and TBH it looks really expensive, white bumpy tiles from Wickes, black ceramic floor tiles from B&Q, couple of sheets of black and grey mosaic tile sheets i cut into strips for an MSE border shower and towel rail i got from ebay for mucho cheapness.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000

Impressive. Now excuse my ignorance and let us briefly hijack this thread away from money saving. Can you tell me what is a
parador ceiling
keyhole bath
I have heard of a Dundee bath before but I heard you only need a sink for this?:rotfl:0 -
oi cheeky git trust a fifer
. Parador is like fake wood cladding stuff you get pretty light set into
http://www.paradorinteriorsscotland.com/ keyhole bath is a bit wider than a standard bath with room to shower http://www.screwfix.com/prods/34767/Bathrooms-Showers/Baths-Suites/Baths/Keyhole-Bath?cm_mmc=GoogleBase-_-Datafeed-_-Bathrooms%20and%20Showers-_-Keyhole%20Bath MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000

Thanks Lilac.;) I genuinely don't have a clue about the finer details and all the little touches (I think this a females domain tbh) I just would like it to look cracking. No space in mine for a bath (as per pics). Anyway I need to decide how to finance it first although I just made a £1250 OP cos I wanted to get below the 70k barrier. Why is OP so addictive????:cool:0 -
Maybe you should get a few more quotes. Tradesmen are all competing for work at the moment. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
