2 months to plan a wedding!

Still To Do:
[STRIKE]I have 5 crackers to make and then they will all be done!! [/STRIKE]Now all done!!
Need to finish centre peices for the 2 tables.
[STRIKE]Bridesmaids shoes [/STRIKE]- ordered
[STRIKE]Place order for food [/STRIKE]- ordered
Finish place cards
Beauty preparations - Started
Bake 3 cakes - [STRIKE]chocolate,[/STRIKE] vanilla and carrot cake.
Finish making cake decorations
[STRIKE]Replaced ceremony CD as it corrupted!![/STRIKE]

Had a bit of a baking disaster.... as you would expect, the first time it has ever happened to me it would have to happen 3 days before the wedding on the 10 inch base cake. I am trying to decide whether to do a rebake or just try to shape it into a heart shaped cake......hmmmmm the joys!

bless tickle, feel for you but i am sure what ever you will do it will be lovely. better all the bad stuff before and not on the day?

Very very true, although OH has now come down with a cold (manflu lol). Just keeping fingers crossed. Right am off to start icing cakes!

He's still under the weather, but still happy and looking forward to the wedding rather than wanting to hide under the duvet which is the norm lol. Icing went well! Yay!

I managed to salvage the cake The beauty of buttercream, filled in a couple of gaps and kind of cemented the cake together. But with the icing on you cant tell. This was OH's idea and so glad he persuaded me as it took 2 hours for it to bake through as the seal on our oven has gone. SO now I have a 10 inch round chocolate cake, 8 inch round vanilla cake, and 6 inch carrot cake, covered in white icing, with a red ribbon round each section.

Thank you, I am just hoping that it doesnt snow too heavily tonight as my mum and dad have to travel up tomorrow from Hampshire to Halifax.

so glad you managed to sort the cakes and hope husband to be feels better and better. ooh husband to be- is nearly husband! so exciting! fingers crossed- no snow please!
