Recently I got bop-it; it's a kids game but somehow it's annoyingly addictive for adults too. In an effort to stop myself being the only sad grown-up playing I've done some research to find the cheapest places.

What is a Bop-It?

It's a digital toy where, along with the beat, you need to either 'twist it' 'bop it' or 'pull it' in time - there are various handles and drums to do this on the bop-it. While mine is a simple old bop-it, below is a pic of the Bop-It 2 Extreme! (wow!)

Toys "R" Us Website
Where to get it cheapest.
  • The Original Bop-It: It's available for £9.99 in Woolworths (and Woolies online though delivery is a fiver!). The cheapest online version is Amazon at £12.
  • Bop-It 2 Extreme: It's half price at £9.49 plus it's included in the Toys R Us 3 for 2 promotion. (ie get three for roughly £20, which is how much it costs elsewhere, or you could include other games see the Website.

If you order it online, there's an delivery charge, which depending on where you live could be up to a tenner, so its best to get it in store (locate your nearest). If you are buying online Amazon has it for £14.95* which includes free delivery (its normally a £15 minimum for Amazon's free delivery, but spend £14.92 and above and it seems to allow it) which for some will under cut Toys-R-Us. (John Lewis sells Bop-It 2 for £9.45 but is out of stock online and there's a delivery charge)

  • I bought Bop-it 2 from John Lewis for £9.45. Used a code from here to get free p&p-it was delivered yesterday. It's meant to be a prezzie, but it keeps looking at me like it wants to be played! Might have to test it to make sure it works.
  • Sure is addictive Martin isnt it!

I got one a while ago when Amazon were selling the Bop it 2 Extreme for under a tenner

£9.45 at John Lewis but showing out of stock online but should be able to pick up in store for that price.

How can a toy shop as big as Toys r us be out of stock?
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!
  • We bought one of these for the children for Christmas about 6 years ago. Some friends arrived for drinks in the evening and so, when the children had gone to bed, we played Bop-it - but with a 'twist'........if you forgot the sequence, you had to drink a shot of vodka and try again.......only problem is, the more vodka you drink, the more likely you are to forget the sequence!!!! Have a feeling my husband slept in the bath that night!!!

I saw some cheap at TJ HUghes about a month ago. Can't remember price exactly.
  • What fab timing! Had family over this weekend and they were playing our game. Looked in the argos catalogue to see about getting sis in law one ad they were £17! A tenner sounds far better! Thanks!
