i am paying my debts thru cccs since 2000,i was stung for loads of fines and charges when it all went wrong,can i try to claim back fines and charges from 3 card companys i havent got any statements now but i paid a fortune at the time.also 1 debt was a loan which spiraled out from a small loan everytime
i was called to the bank they just topped the loan up higher,could this be classed as bad advice from the bank:j

I think you can claim all those but not sure how to get statemnts. have a look on the consumer action group for advice. someone will know a lot abot this in here. good luck.official dfw nerd club member no 214

and yes you can claim back for accounts that have been closed, but only over the last 6 yrs

Actually, this depends. If the banks have been committing a criminal act then the statutes of limitations don't apply and you can take a "Civil Action" instead of a small claims. A Civil Action will be a crown court action (AFAIK) and you will not be able to claim back your charges though the court will impose a fine against which you will recieve compensation.
Personally, I'd keep it simple and stick with small claims and the 6 year rule...[strike]-£20,000[/strike] 0!0
