We also stayed at a travel lodge last year and had breakfast at the little thief,we actually had a really good laugh ...ordered a breakfast for my 3 year old he wanted scrambled egg beans and sausage which was no problem a few minuets later the waitress came out and said we havent got any scrambled egg left but you can have a fried egg ???????? was it me being thick lol

hi gogins, our family fell out with the (little thief) last year for the same reason, realy unaceptable delay and rubish food. Now if we are traveling and we feel desparately hungry we call at the (happy cheater) but to be fair its not much better but i will swallow pride, and plastic scrambled egg,for half price!!!

note that these vouchers cant be used at the moto services that have little chefs..says on the voucher and these services not owned by little chef anymore, they still use the high extortinate prices as well so stay well clear of these ones if you want to use the offers
Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.
  • Went to norwich last week and parked in the city card park (forget which one}, on the back of the pay and display ticket was a BoGoF breakfast and main meals picked up few from the floor
  • I have been a voucher user of little chef for years as my family and I use it as a break on route to our holiday/break destination and as part of the holiday/break.

Re registering... - I was registered on their old site and when I tried to register on this new one, (like it said you would have to during 'construction'), it detected my e-mail as already being registered and so I didn't have to register again AFTER HAVING FILLED THE FORM OUT

    Re quality of food/service:

Yes it does vary and it's all much the same although I will be looking at an improvement under the new management. I would never pay the full amount (as was) for the 'food' they deliver. Service can vary greatly - I think it depends on the waiter individuals alot but a smile costs nothing. :)

    Smoking........

Loads of other eateries (especially supermarket cafes) have moved on to totally non smoking. LC's past policy as been to have a 'non smoking' section and a 'smoking' section, which we all know does not work really as smoke defuses throughout the whole of the eating area, smoking or not, making it a farce. Lets hope the new owners have a rethink on this. :j

    Re new menu..

Not sure about what was said re this date but the site says it's 9th Nov. Includes bangers 'n' mash, mixed grill and the return of the American breakfast. Also eggs to be free range and pork to come from British outdoor pigs.

    Meeeee

If it's cheap breakfasts you're after, went to our local Weatherspoons this morning and breakfast was 1.99. It consisted of 1 sausage, 2 pieces of bacon, 1 fried egg, hash browns, beans and a flat mushroom. Not bad at all. Tea or coffee was 69p extra.

Also, I believe Tesco do a reasonable cheap breakfast if you're in the vicinity. Each item is priced individually but you would be hard pressed to spend much over 2 quid!
  • We had tea and toast for two at Little Thief last week and it was over £7,not be going back again.

Also BHS, House of Fraser and Debenhams also offer a variety of cheap breakfasts. I've found the BHS one is pretty good at £1.69 for 6 items, though the tea/coffee is pricey.
