Pensions....

I am very blonde when it comes to pensions. I'm currently filling in the forms for our BR and when it asks about pensions it say 'Personal' pension funds. My H and I have both had them through work, is this a personal one or something different?

I'm sorry if that sounds very stupid.....

I'm starting to stress a little about everything

TIA

  • I've just had a look at what I had and it was a Local Govement pension scheme. I don't think that is the same as a pensonal pension plan is it?
  • I think its asking you if you have a personal pension outside of work. Hence it is extra payment or debt(not sure if thats the right word) you do on your monthly outgoings by choice.

    HTH.
If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.

It is all pensions including any that you have at work

  • when me and the oh filled our forms in we just listed everything that could possibly be appropriate and let the or sort it out.and when we had the interview she just went through it all. didnt seem to be a problem to her.
  • Thanks all, i've had 2 different pensions through 2 different work places so i'll just put them both down and let them sort it.

Good advice PB, I think that's going to be the way to go! Better to put to much info than not enough!!

when i did my forms i rang the insolvency service and they said put any company pensions in the personal section as well. it doesn't fit well, the forms aren't great, but put them here
  • thats what i thought at least you would be giving every bit of info that may be of use to them and hopefully they wont need to ask any more questions
