Hi,
This is my first time posting on this board :j so please be gentle
To the board guide: sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I didn't know where else to put it
Can I put the empty tin from baby milk (SMA in particular) in the can and glass bin I have at home?
I know there is a number that I could phone, but I thought I'd put it here first.
Thanks in advance,
Linzi x

I've always put my SMA tins in the black box for when they collect my recycling, and they've always taken them. I put glass (baby jars) and tins and paper in, and it all goes. Sometimes they take the lids from the baby jars, and sometimes they leave them, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to put them in or not?0

Hi Princessa,
Thank you very much!
I thought I could, but wasn't entirely sure. Snedlet is too small for baby jars yet, but I'm sure it won't be long!

I always used to pass most of ours onto the nursery and primary schools that our kids go to. They used them for everything. They're also great for odds n' sods in the garage or shed. One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.0

If you can't use them again (as Hizz suggests), then you should be ok to recycle them with the cans - we put hubbys Slimfast tins through with no problem and they're very similar.
We use Aptamil ourselves - very annoying that since they changed the packaging they can't be recycled - we've about exhausted all the other uses for them.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
I just read the pack (the new one)
The symbol is on there and I didn't even see it!
I'm not sure if I 'want' to keep it because I am moving to a flat and I'm not going to have enough space for everything that I already have, but I do like the idea, use what you have (can you tell I'm usually on the old style board?).
I never even thought about any local nurseries!
Thank you all,

Edit: terrible spelling!0 -
I find they're just the right size for storing cotton reels.0

I use clean them out, use double sided tape to then cover with pretty paper then add whatever other decorations to make them into gift tins.
Am doing this for Christmas (as DS is on follow-on with an already red lid this is even easier).
I am doing a movie tin with microwave popcorn in (from £1 shop), blockbuster vouchers (from ipoints) and a few other goodies.
A gingerbread man making kit for lil bro and a gingerbread man decorating kit for friends dd.
These are just the right size for these gifts !!! and I use baby food jars (lids nailed to the underside of a shelf) for small brads, buttons, ribbons etc, dh uses them for manly nails and screws LOL !!
(wish I was closer would happily take them off your hands LOL)0
