Successful mortgage process from Santander

Through my times of worry it was mentioned that nobody ever users or posts good news stories on this site so at that time I promised I would break the mould. Today our mortgage has been transferred to our solicitors in preparation for completion tomorrow afternoon!

We have a 90%LTV mortgage with Santander that was based on a 5% deposit from us and 5% from the Developers. As the valuation was more than sufficient we have no problems in getting the mortgage though from that point. There have been a few hairy moments when Santander reduced their income multiple levels but since the offer came through in July we have not heard a peak from them.

All in all a very scary experience but really without cause. Of course there are risks and we understood them at the time but this time tomorrow we will be home owners (mortgage owers : - )) on our new house.
