Useful post, TaBunny: no wonder you fell foul of the system.

I'm disabled in a way that virtually nobody ever thinks about and which, therefore, makes life difficult at times - colour blindness. It is career-limiting: just one example - how could I become an electrician and live to tell the tale, not to mention the customers!! The map is useless as I can't distinguish some of the colours. And why do I know this - I checked, as usual with my wife!

Useful site. I wish they had one in my borough. When we got our blue badge a couple of months back I wasnt sure where the parking spaces were assigned to disabled holders or not. Then I find some car parks are free for blue badge hokders and some charge.

Hey Poppycat I may be able to help re your area, if you contact the site you can buy a UK Disabilty driving map book, just like a normal road map book but it has all the places in the UK where there is disabled parking, plus at the back it has every borough councils phone number and their current parking restrictions on yellow lines, residential etc. It costs £12.99 but I have found it invaluable especially when I have been on holiday and don't know the area it's great to have the phone numbers for all the council parking offices.

Hope this is useful to you and anyone else, sorry for the other poster who is colour blind, maybe if you contact the site by phone and discuss it with them they may be able to help or make changes in future, I rung them with some of my needs and they were very helpful.

Sorry for your un thought of disablity, being in constant pain and unable to walk properly can also be career limiting!
