There should be numerous agencies in your part of Tyrone that provide this service. But if not then you need to travel. Get your Mid Ulster phone book out and have a look. If you are currently signing on then either the job centre in Dungannon and or Cookstown should have somebody to ask. Don't forget the local chambers of commerce.
RTITB lost its monopoly on training in the earely 1990's another recognised qualification carries the ITSSAR name. They are present in NI, RTITB is not.
As already said any FLT licence that is backed by RTITB and ITSSAR are portable. It is unusual nowadays to find employer specific licences. Starting from scratch a FLT course & test is around £500.
By the way even though you have the experience you still need to sit a practical test. Depending on your experience you may well get away with a one day course, this obviously will cost less.

You do not have to get "certified" by an outside body, or get a forklift license. Your employer can train and certify its own operators. Your company can get a forklift training.
  • if you are unemployed, your jobcentre advisor, will send you on a course free of charge, thats what they did with my freind,

Absolutely worth having an independent license - then you can freelance for all sorts of things including staging companies, stagehands companies etc., where you will have to provide a copy of your license at every site office you visit, no matter if you work for one company or for yourself.

    Indeed they can.

But do the company's insurance allow this?

So now he will now be able to sign on with all the experienced fork truck drivers who are also looking for work.
