Debt Recovery Agencies

I am currently with a debt recovery agency and i have recently read that some do not actually pay enough towards the debt and keep the money for themselves!
Could someone please help and let me know if there is a good agency to go with such as a government backed one?
I have multiple debts and would find it hard to manage them by myself.
Please could anyone help?
Thanks

Assuming you mean a debt management company? I would suggest getting the full details from them on the kind of plan you are set up on and what fees they are taking - was this not discussed with you when you set up with them? If you are with a private company then they will be charging you a percentage for dealing with it so get changed over to a free dmp with one of the companies mentioned above. CCCS and CAP are both charities and Paypal runs a free dmp service.0
