Expired luncheon vouchers

I get quite a few sets of luncheon vouchers from doing Pinecone surveys. I recently realised that some of them expired at the end of December 2005 - d'oh! - my eyesight is rather ropey and stupidly I didn't look close enough when I was sorting them out, and mistook the 2005 for 2006. I had thought I'd spent all the 2005 ones.
I emailed Accor who administer the vouchers and they have basically said tough luck. Which I think is a bit off because presumably Pinecone have already paid Accor for the vouchers, so it really shouldn't matter to them when the expiry date is.
Anyone got any suggestions other than resignedly throwing them away?

Just searching the forums as I have some expired luncheon vouchers, funnily enough also from doing pinecone surveys. I was saving them all up so that we could go and have a nice meals somewhere and then realised half of them had expired!
I was pleased to see someone had asked exactly the same question, but then disappointed to see there had been no replies. As the original question was posted about 18 months ago, I'm hoping that there may be someone around now who can answer the question, even if it is just a definitive 'hard luck, you'll have to chuck them'!:think:0
