Printer

Are there any good deals around just now? Looking for a Hewlett Packard deskjet, but needs to be from shop or next-day delivery as I urgently need to print summat and my printer has just conked out.

  • There are loads of deals around - check Amazon, lowestonweb, dabs. IMHO I hate HP as cartridges are expensive and the electronics in them tend to go haywire when you change cartridges (ie they stop working).

If you are desperate to get something printed, use your local library as a stop gap until you can buy printer.

If you're close to an Argos go in and have a look. My local one had some cheap HPs on clearance.
    Can I help?

I personally like Canon printers as the cartridges are cheap & quality is good plus on the ip4000,4200 & above you get automatic duplexing, CD printing, separate ink cartridges..... Having said that, I cannot fault the mid-high range HP printers though - they're the ones you'll see in offices up & down the country which says a lot. Basically, don't consider spending less than £80 - £100 for a reasonable printer.

    Hi there,

When you say Canon cartridges are cheap...how cheap can you get them for ...and where?

I'm actually looking for a printer too.....As a student, the uni is ripping us off with expensive charges for printing and I really wanted a colour printer for printing research papers. Still looking for a budget printer...
