Murdoch will be highly pleased with this news, The BBC is the best broadcaster in the world IMO, this is purely political interference, no doubt encouraged by Murdoch, from his office in New York.
Bad news for us all.0 -

I'd want mine a whole lot better than US TV. The US TV programmes shown over here tend to be the "best", the rest (majority) is rubbish. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
I'd like to see it abolished too. Ridiculous! You can buy or subscribe to quality newspapers, magazines, books etc. So why not choose your TV?
The BBC has had it's chance as a public service broadcaster and blown it through endless dumbing down. IF we really must have a "public service broadcaster" I would prune the BBC right down to a few "serious" channels with highly educational programming. No drum rolls building up to news programmes, no ratings-chasing reality shows, no "top talent" celebrities.0 -

It was a violent disagreement with the two idiots who posted before my posting and the one directly above this one!.0 -
Don't you understand irony?

Yes, but some people do believe US TV is better, and your short post didn't convey any sense of irony. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Great stuff!
As we all know, all foreigners are envious of the BBC and the NHS. Thou shalt not joke about these things. They are too holy.0
