Very misleading email

Im really annoyed because I just received what looked like a WEM from getmeaticket.com but its a really unfair scam.
The subject was "Congratulations my name!"
And the body said:
Hello my name!
Congratulations - You are our possible winner!
We are happy to announce that you are one of our lucky three selected to win an Apple MacBook:
1. Sarah Simpson
2. my name
3. William Tyndale
Surely there are regualtions/laws to stop these misleading emails?

Yea I agree, very annoying! Every time I see Congratulations in the subject of an email I almost have a heart attack lol, 9.8 times out of 10 its a dodgy scam email

Yes, sorry to hear about that.....we all get them from time to time....fingers crossed for a real win soon.0

Isn't that funny I just got the exact same email with my name in number 2 place so how many so called possible winners out of three are there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

I got this too.0

I get quite a few of these type of emails too but I thought this one was especially nasty as it listed fake winners names. I was fooled for a minute because ive entered quite a few competitions on getmeaticket. Obviously not a reputable company and I think I will keep well clear of them in future.0

Yeah, I got this email too. I found it whilst sifting through my spam! And, the names at no.1 and no.3 were the same as the ones you listed!0

has anyone signed up with getmeaticket, as just recently ive been getting alot of spam, and im trying to work out, where ive signed up to, that might have passed on my details
its only been since the start of this month, and the only things i can think of that ive signed up to around that time, are studio cards and some wheel spin competition thing, so just wondered if anyone else was suddenly getting this too?
also getting lots of postal stuff too, like sim cards

I'd think the above illustrates why "Get me a Ticket" comps are not usually posted on here.0

the ones that annoy me are the ones that say in the subject ***** Competition Winner - then you open it and it says remember you entered ****** well you didnt win but you can buy the prize for ***** grrrrHappy with any wins this year :A0
