Some More Questions

For over a year I’ve known that I must go Bankrupt.

I’ve posted many questions and am so grateful for all the answers I received.

I’ve become practically OCD about Bankruptcy and I just needed to know every answer to any questions I might be asked by the Officials with all the eventualities and outcomes.

Then a friend and subsequently a friend of theirs also needed to go Bankrupt – they knew about my situation.

The first friend was too anxious to ask themselves and their friend didn’t have access to the internet.

So they asked me to help and ask questions on their behalf.

Many of the questions were quite “technical” – and are not usually asked.

Although over the months from time to time others did ask similar questions.

Anyway because of the number of questions I asked - some forum members assumed I was some kind of professional adviser – and told me they would no longer help or answer any of my questions.

I assure you I am not in anyway a professional adviser. I work in an admin job for a courier company, who (because we handle valuable packages) have a “Bankruptcy clause” on the employment contract.

I’ve been trying to get a new job before I petition – but so far have been unsuccessful.

My debt situation has got to a melting point and the stress is getting unbearable.

And I still have questions on Bankruptcy that I desperately need answers to.

I just can’t get the help anywhere else – the debt charities, and CAB’s all try but don’t always know the answers– they don’t have the experience that you have.

Would it be possible if I do ask a few more questions?

If you don’t want to respond that’s OK.

But if I could at least ask – some members may be willing to help.

It would make such a difference to me and maybe it would also help others who need the answers as well.

All the answers you could possibly need are on the forum, just keep searching till you have what you need. If the debt charities cannot answer them, then I am at a loss to what you could possibly need.

I know a huge amount of information is in the forum.

But not every answer is in the forum.

And if they were - nobody would need to ask any questions.

But you have asked that many, surely there cannot be many more left ;)

I know, I thought I had the answers to everything.

But I've been filling out my B/R papers (7th attempt to get it right) and still have more questions.

Hopefully the questions I have will also help other people.

I don't understand the problem script - if you still have questions, post them. If people can help they'll reply, if they don't have the answer, they won't :).

Maybe you are getting a bit over-analytical about the forms though, if you're on your 7th attempt? Its a bit like an exam, think about your answers too much and you'll convince yourself you're wrong. Write it down, check it over once, ask for clarification on any specific points you're not sure of, amend those particular bits if necessary, then leave it alone. Otherwise all you're likely to do is confuse yourself and possibly the OR.

    Thanks lilibet,

I've been trying to get a new job.

So I'm hanging on by my fingernails - waiting for that to happen.

And the truth is I'm scared stiff about the whole bankruptcy process.

I can't really explain why - maybe its the court thing (I've never been to court in my life) - or it could be the Interview (I am bound to get a bit nervous - and make a "hash" about answering the questions). Maybe this is why I'm almost obsessed about knowing everything that could possibly happen - so I can be as prepared as I can be in advance.

I'm 99% sure I haven't committed any bankruptcy "sins" and even if I have at least I know all about BRU's.

One of the many reasons I find the forum so brilliant is the reassurance that people give - who have been through it all.

    Hi Script

I think for me its the interview, as im scared that i will get things wrong and panic. Why dont you do what im doing.. i have planned a date that im going to do it and then bang its done. Have you got a date planned yet?

Carry on asking away as this is what the forum is about, and whatever you or anyone else writes, then it will be helping others as well. SO WIN WIN IMO!

  • I'm confused - or maybe I'm just having a blonde moment - but, Script, you opened the thread saying you had some more questions to ask yet, unless I'm being really dense (always a possibility!) you haven't asked any. Bewildered. :undecided
