DMP problem (wonga.!!)

Hi all. I am absolutly worried sick and need some advice.
I have been on DMP with CCCS for two month now. I check with all my creditors and everything seems fine and all have accepted payments from them. However, I have noticed that wonga (payday loan) have doubled my balance with them. I have rang up and they are now telling my that they have refused the money from CCCS (it was only £6.50, as there balance was only £250 (now £500), and other creditors like loan was £10000, so bviously they get much less money.) Im annoyed with them because they told me months ago that everything was fine with CCCS, and have never been in contact with me to tell me other wise or to warn me about being charged ridiculous amounts. They are now saying that I need to set up a plan with them to stop charges, but on the other hand are saying if I do that I will compromise my DMP by paying them more money.
I think they have passed me onto a collection agancy (JB RECOVERY), do I need to speak to them about this, and get them to co-operate with CCCS, and if so should wonga then stop interests and charges?
This has got me a wreck, I thought everything was ok with my DMP, and they have just turned my world upside down again. Dont know how much more I can handle.
Any advice would be apreciated. Thankyou :(:(:(

Definitely don't come to an agreement with them directly as you could well muck up your DMP if your other creditors got wind of it somehow - the best thing to do is ring or email the CCCS and tell them what has happened as they will come accross things like this all the time and will know what to do. Sometimes it's for the best when the debt gets "sold on" to another DCA as they are often more willing to negotiate than the original creditor.

There might not be alot you can do about the extra £250 they've lumped on to the balance but in the big scheme of things as long as nothign else gets added on then it's not the end of the world.

I know exactly how you are feeling, it's such a kick in the guts every time a company gets nasty just when you thought everything was ok, it's happened to me but honestly the CCCS have always sorted it out in the end. so you'll get everythign settled eventually.
  • Thankyou for the reply. Honestly I am so close to tears writing this to you now. Don't know how much more I can take, I'm ready just to give up. I have spoke to the debt collection agency today, who have informed me that nothing can be done until they have had the first payment from CCCS and somebody from wonga contacts me to arrange stopping charges, which they are not doing therefore more charges are still being added. As far as I am concerned they have had the first payment in september from CCCS. Im going to ring CCCS after work to talk to them about this. All I want is them to stop adding charges, and I will pay back what the balance is now. Im hoping not to be in this DMP for the 6 year they have stated it will take. I want to try and get myself in a position where as I can start paying everyone back to normal and come out the DMP. But with Wonga pulling tricks like this, its never going to happen. :(:(:(
