Credit Reference Agencies - how soon are they updated?

Does anyone know how long after a payment is due, credit card companies report the payment being ("up to one month late") to the credit reference agencies?
I screwed up and just found out I am 10 days late in paying my Post Office mastercard. My Experian file shows that it was last updated by the Post Office 2 days after the payment due date but they (thankfully) updated it with a zero. I'm hoping that when I make the payment in full tomorrow morning the file won't get updated to a "1" in a month's time but I really don't know how these things work. I'm particularly worried as I'm in the middle of applying for a mortgage 8-(

Its usually updated one a month, and usally with whatever has happened within that month.
The last update probably just missed your payment due date so its quite likely that it will be marked with a 1 next month. Hopefully they won't, but they could.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Dealing with these agencies is a waste of money unless there is a specific issue to be resolved.0
