Harrods is still free apart from the booking fee- but tickets have all gone. They are selling the Selfridges one as an 'experience' because you get to go on Santas express!!

Don't mind paying for the kids, but seriously begrudge paying for the accompanying adults, especially more......not like I'm gonna get to sit on Santa's knee is it!!
    :hello:
  • Selfridges' Santa experience is much better than Harrods. If I'm going to the effort of taking the kids to London then I'd rather pay and get a decent visit.
  • We went last year but we didn't have to pay. We bought the photo which was a tenner but the train ride and visit to santa was all free and dd got a book.

The year we did Selfridges you had to pay but ALL the money went to charity so I didn't mind a bit. Seems only a small percentage does now - shame.

an 'experience' lol - the first time we went we thought wow, you get to go on a train, until we realised the train just went round in a circle a few times

i do think the adult price is a bit of a rip-off

I have to agree with flea72 my DS was also very quick to work out that the train went round in circles then there was four doors all with santa behind!!! he was only 5 then!
  • can you still get free tickets on the day
  • I am in london on 11th and 12th of December and am gutted that these are sold out on these days! . I have been on the selfridges mailing list for news on "on sale" dates for these, and they went on sale while I was on my holidays! I am gutted because I rung Selfridges the week before we went away and they said they were going on sale 1st November which was fab cos I was back! When I got back on Sunday I have the email in my inbox telling me that they were on sale from the 18th October.
Really upset. If anyone has booked for either the 11th or 12th December and can no longer use the tickets, please email me. I really want to take my kids - this is probably the last year my eldest will actually believe in Father Christmas. I am going to ring Selfridges when I get in from work this afternoon and complain that I was given duff information. Had I known before hand, I would have got my mum to book tickets for us when they went on sale.
