4nnabella -Dodmoor is so helpful in getting everything sorted, but be prepared to spend 2 hours talking to them when you go for the pre-wedding meeting. You'll get back a 5 page doc detailing everything about the whole day.

    When's your wedding?

    January 15th - 12 weeks tomorrow!! :j:j

Lol thanks for the warning! We haven't got that meeting booked in yet. They've got some open evenings in November and we're going along to one, even though everything is pretty much arranged now, but that coincides with approx 8 weeks to go. Not sure if it's really worth going to the open evening thing or just calling to schedule the meeting. Or might do both :D

If it's not too far you might as well go, remind yourself of the cool places to take photos etc. Don't forget you get to taste all the wine as well, we had to choose without really trying it (we decided at the last moment).

Yeah I think we'll do both :D It's not too far. Well, I live in Nottingham now but my parents only live 8 miles from Dodmoor. I'm 50 miles up the road, but it only takes an hour to get home.

Did you go for their unlimited drinks package? It seems like a good deal. I think we're leaning towards it but the fact they don't charge corkage is also attractive... I think we'll go to the open evening, try the wine :D and then decide which way to go...

Thanks for all the advice! It's cool to talk to someone who's been there too! :D

We went for unlimited drinks, but didn't use all the allowance, and true to their word they didn't charge for more than we used. We may have used less Prosecco though as we went for table wine for the toasts.

We went for prosecco, chenin blanc and merlot, unfortunately I can't remember what they were like, the whole thing's a bit of a blur.

We had Beth and Beci looking after us and were completely oblivious to any issues (including the band having a puncture and some of our guests not being in the hotel allocation (remember to get them to book 2 weeks in advance)).
