    train ticket prices are crazy....

    I used to travel frequently on GNER from London to Darlington....and a lot of times found it cheaper to actually buy a ticket all the way through to Edinburgh.. but get off at Darlington....:eek:

    Train prices are ridiculous. I knew the station would quote me happy. A single from Coventry to Euston was only £10.00, which I think is a bargain.

    So we got a cheap train ticket and a cheap-ish hotel £68 for the room per night staying near Tower Bridge, now we need plenty of dosh to spend in Harrods !!! good job hubby is taking me.
    Just owe Dad £2500 for a new car

    I went by train from Folkstone to longton (stoke on trent) a few years ago at a cost of around £70 a few months later I went from Folkstone to Stoke (one station further) for £42
    Car £1500
    Parents £5000
    Barclaycard £900.68
    + 127,000 Mortgage :eek:
    all on my lonesome
