Does anybody know if barclays or the coop will do joint basic bank accounts. Or is it best for my wife and I to have individual accounts. Thanks for your help

myself and my hubby have a joint cashminder with the co-op. As to whether individual accounts are best, thats up to you. We decided to have a joint account as we still have a joint mortgage.BSC # 308I should really rename myself mummytothree!!! Child no3 born 14/09/10ED 12/01/110

Yes they do! I have had a joint cashminder account with my other half. We applied 6 weeks before we both went br and have had no problems since.

me and my hubby have a joint co-op cashminder account that we find no problems at all, we both went bankrupt not sure if that is the same situation with you however even if not I find the cashminder account great, online banking is allowed and easy to use so even if only one of you are planning on going bankrupt I think you would still be fine with a joint account with co-op

My partner and I joined the CO-OP. They were Brill!!!
Very understanding even to the point that they knew we were going BR and said this is the perfect account.
It has all the facilities you need really, though the adrenaline rush you get ,when you try your card in different shops is a bit of an strange feeling. Though we have found most places accept it. (Mainly internet sites that wont)
Give them a call and Im sure they will sort you out.
