Hi Guys and Girls!
I thought i'd write down a few little things here regarding my targets, so I can't "forget" about it and end up in a cash crunch as per usual.
Basically I have christmas, car tax, insurance and MOT all due at once!
So I need to jot a few things down to keep me motivated.
Firstly, the good news. I have £200 stashed away that covers the car insurance when it is due. I have done a check on confused.com and come to the figure of £199. I did see if I could get Barclays to match it, but no go on that one. The extra £50 would have come in handy!
Now the not so good news, the car is OLD, it squeeks and groans all the time, I expect the work to be a lot, but I want to be able to pay for it in cash, not the done thing I know but hey
Also the tax, i'd like to be able to pay for 12 months, as it saves £20.
Therefore it breaks down as follows:-
Insurance :- 200
Car Tax : - 170
MOT :- 40
Fix car ? - gonna put it through an MOT to see whats wrong and then do the work myself! Hoping for < £500
So therefore its gonna come to (rough estimate)
£910

Have you checked your insurance with The Prudential. Quidco are offering £100 cashback.

Also there is nothing wrong with paying in cash. As long as you ask the garage whether they can knock anything off the bill by doing so!
