Ideas needed for leftover cottage pie meaty mix please

Morning all:)
Yesterday i made cottage pie, while making the meaty mix i decided to make double what id normally make and use up some quorn mince.

The cottage pie was lovely and went down a treat :T

In the fridge i have about just over half a pressure cooker pan of the meaty mix left, which i want to use up tonight.

what can i do with it to make it a bit different, so we dont feel like where eating the same as last night?

Ive got a parents evening to go to tonight so could really do with ideas that i can do before we go so its all ready for when we get home.

Thanks in advance, Kaytee :)

add a tin of red kidney beans, some chilli & serve with rice!
  • Yeah i was thinking along the lines of a chilli or bolognaise, we would beable to have pasta or rice with it and not potatoes again.

Just wondering what to add to lose the some of the gravy taste and get it tasting more like either of the above?

cheesy pasta bake? add some tomato puree to the mince, mix with semi-cooked pasta in a dish, cover with cheese sauce and grated cheese and bake until golden.

Inspired by River Cottage the other week we made moussaka but with chargrilled courgettes instead of aubergines, layered up and topped with white sauce. It was delicious.

Thats a great idea, and by doing this i can just pop it in the oven on our return from parents evening. Its not something i'd normally make so the family have no idea what it Should taste like.:T

I will add some tomatoe puree, garlic, chilli & semi ~cooked pasta, top it of with a cheesy topping.

    Thanks OSers :)

Chilli pasta cheesy bake thing is done and ready to go in the oven later, all cooking pots and utensils are washed up and put away, dinners sorted and its only just gone 11am!

    Brilliant!

Ended up adding a tin of toms ( ran out of puree), some garlic and chilli powder, mixed it altogether with some semi cooked pasta put it all in a large oven dish and grated a load of cheese on top.

Im sure it will get a thumbs up :)

    Thanks everyone.
