You could try this - http://www.clearance-comet.co.uk/
but to be honest you're best using pricerunner or kelkoo to find what you need, and making up your own mind about the online stores. You're more likely to get reasonable service from john lewis or the co-op (or at least a refund if it all goes wrong) but they'll probably charge a bit more than online-only places. Oh, and Aldi have got big microwaves in for £35 this week. But they don't deliver.

Even cheaper would be to use your local "Free"cycle group - quite often appliances are on there, unless you did particularly want to get brand new.

It might help you out of a hole until you find what you really want.

we've used kitchen science and co op electrical in the past, would recommend both
  • I would recommend Freecycle too- i found a complete package a couple of weeks ago, of a fridge freezer, under counter freezer and microwave grill.
All in green (matches my kitchen) and nearly new.
I hope you find something soon!
Btw, if it`s not to personal a question....how come you managed to break both in a matter of minutes?
Hope you are ok and it didn`t all involve some horrible accident!

Yep. FreeCycle is great. Can sometimes take a little while for the items you need to appear, but they usually do. :)

Hey Rosey, I got a new microwave in Argos for £29 which is just great with digital front etc but they do have a cheaper one with a dial front, Asda also has some good instore bargains on microwaves too. Digital one with integral grill £39
