Tree House Interiors Newtownards can spray paint furniture, kitchens etc
I have used them in the past and they provide an excellent service

I don't know any one who does it professionally- we sanded ours down, sprayed with car paint (Spray cans), and lacquered. Works well, cost was next to nothing, and looks great (until a curious puppy checking to see if the cupboard was edible)....
You can buy spray paint in B&Q specially for kitchens- we've used that in the past, and don't think was any more or less effective than car paint!0 -
Just to add, I am in no way an expert painter, but I did my own with specialised paint for melamine surfaces from B&Q, applied with a small sponge roller. It was very easy to put on and the sponge roller gave a very good finish, no streaks or runs but very slightly textured. Paying someone to do it might end up costing you more than buying a cheap set of cabinet doors and replacing them.0

thetope: can you use that paint on the work surface as well? or just on the cupboard doors?
I would quite to smarten my utility room up. We put the old kitchen units (white ) in there about 10 yrs ago and it looks a bit rough now.
After 10 yrs I should probably be replacing the main kitchen units again but no way!Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
We used tile paint (experimenting) on the worktop- it was fine for quite a few months.... Next up is spraying them black (car paint again) and lacquering..... which should work!0

Seriously thinking of doing the kitchen spray paint route, any other specialists recommended?0 -
Bumping this.....anyone else done this, thoughts?
I see you can buy cupboard paint, anyone know if there is a DIY spray kit available?0 -

I had used Plasticote, didn't find it terribly lasting though.... Most cupboard paints I tried I had been fairly unimpressed with TBH. Just by chance, as I'd said in an earlier post I had some paint left over from refurbing alloys- it's worked fantastic and lasts well.0
