North Face jackets normally come with a lifetime warranty. Have you tried going to a North Face stockist to ask them? I know they would have to send it off to North Face but there's no point paying for a repair if you don't have to.
Surf Mountain on Brunswick Street are long established North Face stockists that I've bought from for years. Might be worth giving them a try first.Norn Iron Club Member 330
