Long lasting lipstick and gloss

Hi, I like to have nude colours on my lips and for it to look subtle but I am fed up of lipstick never staying on, one sip of a drink and its gone.

My friend says those double ended lipsticks with gloss are good and stay on well but look natural. Does anyone use them?

I LOVE Covergirl Outlast - it comes in loads of colours and comes with a separate balm which I don't use. I found loads in Netto months ago for a quid or two so really stocked up but I am sure there are loads of these on the markets. This lipstick lasts through drinking tea etc and lasts for hours. The thing I find with long lasting lipsticks is that they can potentially dry your lips out so before I go to bed then I slap on some Elizabeth Arden 8 hour but I am sure that others will recommend cheaper alternatives.
Thank you to all posters - you are fabulous!!!

I've used Max factor Lipfinity. I dont wear much make up and the first time I bought one it felt very odd...the lipstick is very dry but once the balm bit is applied it felt great and it's the only one I've used that's lasted on me. Normally I might as well wipe it off 5 mins after applying for the good they do me - worth every penny in my book :)

  • Boots No7 do a lovely nude coloured one called nectar, (and Boots frequently have £5 off vouchers for No7) it lasts well, but as others have already commented the long-lasting ones can be a little bit drying.

    I find it brilliant too!

I can't afford boots prices so i get mine off ebay or the counter at the local market at either place for between £3 and £5.
  • Maybelline Superstay Powergloss - Can't remember what shade I have but got them off Ebay because it was a lot cheaper that way, stays for ages, the glossy side is a lot shinier than the balm you get with Lipfinity (which I also use) and it's a nice nude colour. Think I got two for less than a fiver :o)
